Artist's Comments

I guess you could say my work is like a mutated form of fashion photography, with a whole lot more tits and testicles. I am completly self-taught, driven by my eyes, my curiosity, and my passion.

I have a fascination with a person's sexual expression, exhibitionism even-- my work is very sexually confronting because it almost casualizes nudity with an exhibitionist's comfort. The segregating line between art and pornography [especially with the male body] has been in near perpetual dispute; my critical community sometimes can't decipher what I'm going for, and I fucking love that. That fine line (art vs. porno) excites me, and challenges me to cross censor boundaries while still producing work that is artistically pleasing.

I grew up in a small town, and even my grade 7 art teacher would scold me for my art projects being too provocative. I feel I have a lot of passion for my photography because I grew up in a small town and have dealt with oppression, both sexual and artistic. For me, now to be able to create work that influences others to break free from those sorts of oppression is very powerful.

I agree with all the comments so far, you are great and not to mention not at all hard to look at, I'd pay to see more. Frick I wish I could do stuff like that I live so close to Vancover damn my age.

at first i thought this way cool, but when i read your description i saw it in a whole different way. i applaud your boldness to try and work on that fine line between porno and art. and like you said, especially when it comes to the male body. even I have fallen under the "safe zone" of art. trying not to cause so much contraversy and keeping it mellow. but then it hit me... i will never stand out in a crowd for being safe. thanks for sparking that in me. and im not even talking about art vs. porn, but there is a wide range of subjects that most artist do avoid that fine line between what people think of as art and something unruly.
